YoungWilliams Child Support Services
provides a full range of child support services to state and local
governments. Based in Jackson, Mississippi, Young Williams currently
has child support offices and contracts in nine states to provide
a wide range of services, including full services, establishment
and enforcement services, customer service call centers, project
management and consulting services. In partnership with government,
we help hundreds of thousands of children daily. Our highly experienced
team includes three former state IV-D directors, and over 500 child support
professionals. Our services are limited exclusively to the IV-D
child support program as we focus all our energies toward improving
child support operations and increasing collections for those we
serve.
We are passionate about the child support program and steadfast
in our commitment to the program’s goals, values and championship
for children. We are a proud member of the child support community,
and a proud partner to government.
How can we not be passionate about what we do?
YoungWilliams' limits its operations to IV-D child support programs. We are committed to the IV-D program and
passionate about what we do. These simple words have a complex meaning. We believe the IV-D child support program is
one of government's most important and effective functions. The IV-D program is an essential system to provide
financial support for a large percentage of the nation's children. Repeated studies show that an effective and
aggressive child support program reduces illegitimacy, builds stronger families, encourages responsible parenting,
increases educational attainment, and promotes a sense of self-sufficiency. At the same time, the program reduces
claims for public assistance leaving the TANF program, the Medicaid Program, the Food Stamp Program, and other essential
assistance programs additional funds for the most needy among us. No other program does so much good while reducing the
burden on other government programs. If run efficiently, it is even a system for reducing the taxes needed to fund
social services. For those of us who care about others, how can we not be passionate about such a program?
At YoungWilliams, we prove our commitment and passion by helping government collect more child support every day,
every week, every year. We work to increase efficiencies, build new systems, develop training programs, run efficient
operations, test new ideas, and discard old ways of working cases.
"It's not a simple or easy task to process cases for tens of thousands of children, at one time,
without delays and without messing up. But that's what we do and that's what we're going to keep doing. The only
difference is that we're going to do it better, faster and cheaper every day."
-Rob Wells, President, YoungWilliams Child Support Services
The Spirit of Teamwork
Partnerships should not be hardships. That's why we strive to be the "hassle-free" resource for IV-D agencies.
Because YoungWilliams has its roots in a law firm, we bring experienced insights into the needs of judges, attorneys,
law enforcement, and other legal professionals. At the same time, our non-legal staff includes former IV-D directors
and a wide range of child support professionals who understand the demands placed on government professionals. We know
that open, honest and effective communications will create new ideas and enhance the effectiveness of the team. That's
why YoungWilliams constantly meets with and exchanges ideas and suggestions with all its team partners. That's why
YoungWilliams continually meets with and provides production and trend reports to judges, the IV-D agency and everyone
involved in the effort to process child support cases. For example, we find that when we involve judges and court
clerks in the process by sharing with them the challenges of processing thousands of cases through the courts, they soon
become cooperating team members searching for solutions to obstacles and delays.
